Apart from just looks, it is incredibly warm. You probably won't need a sweatshirt underneath unless you're in anything colder than 10 degrees Fahrenheit. This jacket will keep your warm guaranteed. The jacket also serves the purpose of a coat and a hoodie. It's all of these things that make the jacket tough as nails and attractive to boot. Cons

The sizing did seem kind of funny to many of the customers when they tried it on at first in the retail store. The thought of Carhartt's crazy sizing distracted lot of the customers. Many customers have complained that they could not find an M or S size at a store so they had to order a S. The S size coat’s arms it fits great but you can hardly close it around your hips and waist. The M size of this coat will fit nicely around the bottom but it will be quite big around the chest, shoulders and arms. Still it's a very, very nice jacket. If it had been sized a little more flexible and made less stereotype then there would have been no complaints.

Conclusion

Since the problem lies in sizing I would recommend not buying the jacket until you have tried it on one in person. The sizes in the different products are different. For example in some stores the M is super huge and the small is perfect, while in the other the small is too small and the M is perfect. So while buying just keep in mind the appropriate size and nothing else. All in all, this jacket is so worth every penny.
