This stylish jacket comes with a well equipped CE approved body armor on the arms, shoulders and the back with  two front zip pockets and two 12-inch vertical front zip vents and also two back vents. It has a reflective piping on the arms and shoulders, spandex on both the sleeves and the sides, and a reinforced padding on the shoulder tops. There is a zip pocket and a snap pocket inside, in addition to a cell phone pocket, YKK zippers and hardware, zip-out vest lining and a snap collar.

Features

Its main features include CE approved body armor on arms, shoulders and back. A two 12 inch vertical front zip vents and two back vents. It also has a reflective piping on arms and shoulders and vest lining along with YKK zippers and hardware.

Why should one buy it?

The jacket is of great quality. It looks great and makes you feel comfortable. It is good for cold weather or mild weather if you remove the lining. This jacket is very much heavy, and it is extremely well made. The zippers are of heavy duty, and the leather is sewn so as to cover them up. The leather very much tassels on the zipper pulls even the tuck into the area along the zipper that is covered by the jacket leather. It is also warm and windproof. It is quite adjustable with other suitable clothes, at least for twenty minute trips.

Pros

This jacket is made of buffalo hide and appears to be of full grain leather. You can notice the leather has quite a rubbery feel. This is a characteristic of the buffalo hide feature. Buffalo hide is soft but very tough and elastic and breathes well. It will last a long time. Buffalo will have much more visually interesting surface wrinkles, and other topographic variations than full grain cowhide. Milwaukee purposefully specified a light hide color and a black surface coating so that it shows "distressing" easily. Because of the thin black layer over white looking leather, it will possibly not develop the kind of subtle wear we associate with the good old leather jackets where the black has worn away to a dark brown or dark gray.

The easy color solubility still has one advantage. If you do not like the odd-looking white edge stripes, you can "dye" them somewhat by wetting the leather and gently wiping the soluble color from the leather back into these areas with some kind of a wet rag. This has to be done very carefully with great care as it is easy to wipe away the black from a wet area with a rag. Customers love the construction of the jacket and the quality materials used. There was some definite long thought process put into this jacket because of the beautiful internal pocket locations and the vents. This is a kind of a jacket that would last for a good long time. The leather is soft, worked in and does not need any kind of breaking in period. It is very good and solid in construction. The liner has great quality.

Cons

Though the fit of the jacket is good, but many customers complain about the heavy smell that comes from the leather. It almost smells like a petrol smell. Though they tried to remove it by hanging it outside for two days or more in fresh air, still it has a heavy smell. Also in many cases this jacket has no armor. It doesn't even have pockets to keep the armor into. The medium size of the jacket has extra space at the wrists and chest, causing it to grab at the throat at high speeds, which can be highly annoying and equally dangerous in traffic. This jacket also does not have cuff clasps to retain the zippers our take up the loose material at the openings.

Final verdict

Finally I would say that this jacket is exactly what I was looking for. I tried on a number of jackets from stores in the area and could not seem to find a jacket that had what I was looking for until I found this one. The jacket is heavy leather with heavy duty zippers and a full quality liner and not vest lined as stated above. As other customers have stated, the jacket is true to size. The only thing is that in most of the cases it does not have is the Reflective piping and the CE approved armor stated above. But overall it is a great jacket and you can be very pleased with it.
